Jen brings 12 years of onsite property level experience to CAF.  She is a natural leader with a passion for occupancy and team building.  She is skilled in renovations, lease ups, due diligence, and takeovers.

Jen began her career with CAF as a Property Manager, however was quickly promoted to Senior Property Manager, and was most recently promoted to her current role as Regional Manager.

Before joining our team, Jen held the following positions:

The Tipton Group- Property Manager, Assistant Manager, Marketing Director (2008-2015).  Leasing (2005).  Responsible for all community operations including marketing, resident functions, accounting, collections, Onesite mentor, maintaining budget expectations, rent growth, property appearance, resident satisfaction, and hiring/training employees.

The Apartment Gallery (MD)- Leasing (2001).  Responsible for maintaining high closing ratio, securing lease renewals, and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Jen received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas and lives in Argyle, TX with her husband, Dexter, and son.

Genevieve has 14 years of multifamily management experience. She is a motivational leader with proven strengths in budget management, client and vendor retention, financial reporting, marketing and training.

Before joining our team, Genevieve held the following positions:

Hawthorne Residential Partners – Community Manager (2013 – 2015) – Responsibilities included: recruiting, hiring and training onsite staff, minimized operational costs and maximized revenue, developed and implemented weekly pricing and marketing strategies.

Westwood Residential (2004-2012) – Leasing, Assistant Manager, Property Manager – Responsible for all aspects in Leasing, as an Assistant Manager successfully maintained delinquency under 5%. Promoted to Manager and became a revenue catalyst and roving manager to improve property finances and operations throughout Houston. 

Genevieve lives in Katy, TX with her family.

Banks Woodward is a certified public accountant with over 12 years of experience in financial reporting, taxation and business advisory services.  During that time, Banks specialized primarily in Real Estate, Dealership, and Healthcare industries.  By combining his accounting and taxation expertise, he was able to assist clients in developing comprehensive plans through mergers and acquisitions, entity restructuring and ongoing operations.

Before joining CAF Management and CAF Capital Partners, Banks was with the public accounting firm Cornwell Jackson as a manager in their tax and business services department. Prior to Cornwell Jackson, he worked as manager in the Dallas office of CliftonLarsonAllen.  His public accounting career started in Utah with Hawkins (previously Hawkins, Cloward & Simister).

Banks earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs.  Banks currently lives in Plano with his beautiful wife and children.

Yalda joins our team with over 6 years of Accounting experience. She graduated from UTD in 2016 with an Accounting Degree.

Prior to her time with us she worked as a Staff Accountant at Howard Hughes, Paragon Healthcare and Essilor of America.

Yalda lives in Little Elm, Texas.

Annmarie brings several years of industry experience in leadership, leasing and marketing.

She travels throughout the portfolio to assess the driving factors of occupancy and implements property specific marketing plans which ensure we reach and maintain high occupancy levels.While at our properties Annmarie assesses staffing needs and mentors our teams. She also spearheads the development of key relationships with referral sources such as corporate relocation companies and apartment locators.

Prior to CAF, Annmarie held the following roles:

National Leasing and Marketing Consultant, JRK Property Holdings: In this position, Annmarie assessed issues related to declining occupancy levels and implemented strategies to increase occupancy.

Leasing Manager, North American Properties:  In this position, Annmarie successfully increased occupancy of a failing A property from 82% to a 98% stabilized level within six months.

Prior to this, Annmarie was a corporate sales manager in both mortgage finance and real estate working for companies such as Washington Mutual Bank, Chemical Bank, TD Bank and ReMax Traditions Real Estate .

Annmarie lives in Grapevine, TX.

Brooke is a highly experienced property management Executive with over 16 years of asset management experience and success in multifamily.

Prior to co-founding CAF Management, Brooke held the following positions:

  • Westwood Residential (2004 - 2014) Regional Manager - Responsible for successfully overseeing and managing eight multifamily properties (approx. 3,000 units).  Led overall site operations in budgeting, marketing, and financial reporting.  Recommended and implemented improvements in operating procedures aimed at increasing efficiency and property performance.  Instrumental in property development takeovers and sales of properties.  Hired and trained property managers, accounting managers, leasing staff and maintenance team.  Developed positive relationships with management and staff creating an atmosphere of "team players" driven towards optimal performance.

  • Billingsley Company (2001 - 2003) Leasing Manager and Marketing Director - Responsible for new construction lease-up consisting of 1,500 apartments, townhouse and lofts.  Determined market value for all units out of construction.  Developed and implemented marketing strategies and plans.

Brooke received her Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication at Texas A&M University and lives in Frisco, TX with her husband Matt and their daughter.

Trent Wood is an experienced sales, marketing and operations professional that has a strong financial background, solid understanding of various business transactions and overall operations experience resulting in profitable company results.

Prior to co-founding CAF Management, Trent most recently served as Principal of PTC Investments, LLC where he participated in over 125 property acquisitions and was responsible for the overall profitable operations of the company.

For 13 years prior to PTC Investments, Trent held numerous executive positions with both private and publicly traded companies.  During his tenure he held positions such as Territory Manager, District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Director, Area Vice President, National Sales Director and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Trent reported directly to the company CEO and was responsible for successfully running a Global Division which generated over $160 million in revenue annually and employed approximately 200 personnel.

Prior to his successful business career, Trent served in the United States Army for nine years.

Trent's military career was served in the Infantry and Field Artillery and he was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Captain.

Trent received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas and lives in Frisco, TX with his wife, Karleigh, and their two children.

Doug Bartek is a high-tech industry veteran and real estate investor with over 40 years of experience, during which he was principally responsible for over 28 successful sales, acquisitions, mergers, and financings of high-tech business entities.  Highlights from his background include:

  • Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Tango Networks since 2005, where he raised $50 million in capital, built the management team and secured major contracts with US and International wireless carriers.
  • Founder , CEO and Chairman of Microtone until 2003, a company he created grew to $100 million in yearly revenue and he took public.  At the market peak, Microtune was valued at over $2.5 billion.
  • President and CEO of Acumos, a company he grew from $20 million in yearly revenue to $75 million and positioned for sale to Cirrus Logic.  He then grew that division of Cirrus Logic from $75 million to $600 million, making it the most profitable division of the company.

Doug received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, an MS in Engineering from Arizona State University, and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Chris Faulkner is a seasoned real estate executive with deep domain expertise across the life cycle of institutional real estate investing.  His experience includes loan securitization, portfolio management, underwriting, originations, workouts/restructuring, and asset management.

Chris founded CAF Capital Partners in 2010 and subsequently CAF Management, LLC, after a successful 15 year career at GE Capital, Real Estate:

  • As a Director of Equity Investments, he originated over 3 billion in real estate transactions, across all property types with several joint venture partners in the United States
  • As a Senior Asset Manager he developed and executed strategy for a 17 asset, 5,400 unit multifamily portfolio with a total capitalization of over $400 million in Texas.

Juan brings over 2 years of Accounting experience. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He is currently attending Texas A&M University – Commerce pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting.

Prior to joining CAF, Juan held an Accounting position with Sun Holdings.

Juan currently lives in Dallas, Texas.

Chris brings several years of industry knowledge combined with marketing experience that helps drive the ultimate operational performance of our portfolio. He is skilled at day-to-day operational duties, innovative marketing strategies and boosting online property performance.

Chris began at CAF Management as a leasing consultant however quickly climbed throughout our organization with his marketing and operational strategies that have proven to minimize our operating expenses, gain property exposure and increase occupancy throughout our portfolio.

Before joining our team, Chris held the following positions:

Leasing Consultant at Cross Creek at Grapevine Ranch (2016-2018) – Throughout his tenure he helped the property achieve optimal occupancy while focusing on marketing the property and establishing relationships with nearby businesses.

Prior to his time with us, Chris held numerous positions in the hospitality industry working for high-end hotels that consisted of Omni and Hilton properties.

Chris lives in Frisco, Texas.


Melody brings 10 years of onsite property level experience to CAF. She is a driven organizational leader who excels at generating revenue while decreasing expenses, in conjunction with increased profits and rent growth. She implements structure in training and team building, and is skilled at management takeovers, renovations, remodeling, and associated acquisitions.

Melody began CAF as a Property Manager, was quickly promoted to Senior Property Manager, and most recently promoted again to her current role as Regional Manager.

Before joining our team, Melody held the following positions:

Westwood Residential (2013-2015) - Property Manager - Responsible for maintaining physical and economic occupancy; Administered all phases of community operations, including but not limited to: maintenance, capital improvements, interior/exterior/office renovation, weekly/monthly reporting, service contracts, budgeting, expense control, and auditing; Oversight and training in staff facilitation to develop a synergistic team that made the property attractive to prospective residents.

Crest Asset Management, Inc. – Business/Property Manager (2009 – 2013), Leasing (2008) – Responsibilities included:  accounting, leasing and renewal auditing, applicant approvals, staff management, organizing vacant unit turns, rent collections, delinquency reduction, and property resident functions.

Melody lives in Frisco, TX with her two sons, and has a daughter that attends Texas State University, in San Marcos, TX.

Shannon Nelsen brings over 10 years of Accounting experience specializing in Multi Family Property Management.  She is a forward thinker and adds focus to prompt payments for our vendors. 

Before joining CAF Companies, Shannon was an Accounts Payable Specialist with The Tipton Group for eight years.  She also held an Accounts Payable Clerk position with Majestic Realty Services from 2008 – 2010.

Shannon currently lives in Providence Village, Texas.
